Dr. Van Moody is a Social Entrepreneur, Accredited Private Equity Investor, Author, Community Leader, and Pastor with a passion for transforming people, organizations, and the world. With a background spanning leadership, business, and ministry, he is uniquely qualified to position and empower people for success in every aspect of their lives.

His compelling voice has been heard around the world — from his TED Talk to The Tom Joyner Morning Show, from the 30th Anniversary of the March on Washington to an engagement with Pope John Paul II and his Pontifical Council in Rome. He has trained leaders in Tokyo as an associate trainer for Dr. John Maxwell's EQUIP leadership organization, spoken in Melbourne for Planet Shakers, and served as a keynote speaker for Bishop T.D. Jakes' renowned Woman Thou Art Loosed Conference.

In 2016, Dr. Moody became a member of Dr. Oz's Core Team and has been featured multiple times on the Dr. Oz Show on ABC. He writes frequently for The Christian Post and Fox News, and his articles have appeared in Essence Magazine, Investors' Business Daily, Forbes, American Express Open Forum, Maxim, and many others.

Dr. Moody is the author of nine books, three of which have become bestsellers: The People Factor, The I-Factor, and Desired By God. He is also the host of The Freedom Podcast, where he and special guests explore topics critical to a life of freedom, purpose, and fulfillment.

In March 2006, Dr. Moody established The Worship Center Christian Church in Birmingham, Alabama. This thriving church now serves more than 5,000 members across 6 campuses, with an online campus reaching viewers as far away as South Africa and Korea.

Beyond the pulpit, Dr. Moody leads a portfolio of impactful business ventures. He is the CEO of Mustard Seed Ventures, a real estate investment corporation, and Healthy Future's, a company committed to increasing access to healthy food in Alabama's underserved communities — including the Kale Me Crazy superfood café. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for The HUB CDC, a Non-Profit Community Development Corporation.

With his unique ability to understand and communicate timeless truths in relevant, contemporary ways, Dr. Moody challenges and equips people to fulfill their potential and live their purpose. He is a member of the 100 Black Men of Metro Birmingham and a Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. An avid golfer and Hyrox Athlete, he also enjoys running, cycling and snowboarding. He lives in Sarasota, Florida & Hoover, Alabama with his wife, Dr. Ty Moody, their two children, Eden Sydney and Ethan Isaiah, and their golden-doodle dog Teddy Bear.
