Terms of Service

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, making a purchase, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Van Moody Ministries provides a faith-based online platform offering video courses, assessments, certificates of completion, podcast content, a blog, a digital bookstore, and related ministry resources (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are provided through the website at vanmoody.org and any associated mobile or web applications.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services.

To access certain features of the Services, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Upon enrollment in a course (whether free or paid), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view the course content for your personal, non-commercial use. This licence does not include the right to download, copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any course content.

Free courses are available to all registered users. Paid courses require payment of the applicable fee before access is granted. We reserve the right to change course pricing at any time; price changes will not affect courses you have already purchased.

Certificates of completion are issued upon satisfactory completion of all required course activities, including quizzes and assessments, as determined by the course requirements. Certificates are for personal use only and do not confer academic credit or professional licensure.

All fees are stated in US dollars and are due at the time of purchase. We use Stripe to process payments securely. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

Refund policy: Due to the digital nature of our course content, all sales are generally final. However, if you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing purchased content and we are unable to resolve it within 7 business days of your report, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase by contacting us at [email protected]. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear.

Physical products (books, merchandise) purchased through our shop are subject to the return policy stated at the time of purchase. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with the values and mission of Van Moody Ministries. You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account.
• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display course content without our written permission.
• Post or transmit content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or our systems.
• Use the Services for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Services.

All content available through the Services — including but not limited to course videos, audio recordings, written materials, images, logos, trademarks, and software — is the property of Van Moody Ministries or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features without our prior written consent. Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide to us regarding the Services may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The content provided through the Services is for informational, educational, and spiritual enrichment purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice of any kind, including legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the Services.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VAN MOODY MINISTRIES, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $50.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Van Moody Ministries and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or to Van Moody Ministries.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon termination, your right to access the Services will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alabama, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
